Happy Christmas 2007

So another Christmas has come and gone and it was a busy day. Chris and I stayed up the night before until the wee hours of the morning finishing wrapping the gifts. I started the morning by taking gifts to my brothers house. I said my hi's and then had to leave. I came home and got myself and the kids showered, madeup and dressed. We woke up Chris and waited for him to get ready before we had our Christmas. It was fun unwrapping the gifts and just being with each other. We then loaded the car and traveled to my sister's house. My family was there and it was fun to see everyone. We ate, played with the snake and then opened gifts. Morgyn walked around with rolls in her had just chomping away. There was the slamming of the doors and 24 hours of Robot's on. We got ready to leave and go to Chris's Mamaw and Papaw's. On the way Morgyn fell asleep. She slept for 20 minutes in the car and when we got there her cousin Katie took her. We thought that she would just wake up but she did not. She slept for about 2 hours. Finally she awoke and it was time for gifts. Everyone had a good time. We got family shots and the atmosphere. The day ended with all of us dropping off more gifts and getting home in time for Chris to see AVPR. He said it was a very good movie. Bed time and a house to clean up later. We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you and your families had a warm and happy one as well.

My honey and I, Christmas sweethearts. Five Christmas's and still going strong!!!!!
Me and the boys, dressed in our holiday green.

Time to start unwrapping the gifts.
My Daddy and my baby brother. This is all that Morgyn would eat at my sister's house. She is a bread junky.
She is so cute, sporting her new Dora watch and her Christmas dress.
Tristan trying to be cool in front of the camera.
We had a switch a roo war game going on. First Logan and me, then Logan and Tristan, and finally Tristan and Chris. Here is Tristan's best poker face.
Have to get a shot of the best looking girl at the party.

Morgyn contemplating her gift.
Tristan trying to reach for something. He could have just dumped it out like a normal child, but no he had to be different.
Mamaw's Christmas tree.
Believe it or not this was Morgyn after my sister's house, and while we were at Chris's mamaw's and papaw's house. She was asleep for at least two hours.
Wide awake now.
Looking for more.

Just Another Bridge

On the way to Chris's Families I tried to get a few shots of the bridge that we have to cross. It seems that everytime we want to go to Kentucky we have to pass on or another bridge. Sometime next year I will have some shots of different bridges, the city and other things. I want to have a few of my photographs displayed at the fair this summer. I have a few so far that I am still considering.

Attack of the Dogs

I came home and as I got to the top of the steps the dogs were going nuts. So I decided to play with them. In the process it turned into a wrestling match. And as you can tell they won.
Roxy on top.......
Yeah I think that I am down for the count.

Rat's Luv

So I was in the kids room messing around and decided to get the rats out.I know taht Chris hates them but they are so gentle. The kids want to hold them but when their nails touch their skin they freak out. Tristan is on watch when it is time to clean their cage. I put them in a box and he keeps them from gettinf out.
Yeah a little to the right.

Morgyn....not too close.
A little kissy face.

Baking Cookies

So I went in to see if the kids were sleeping and to kiss them goodnight. Well while bye their room I saw that Tristan and Morgyn were still awake and got a wild hair to bake cookies. We started out with Morgyn dropping an egg on the chair and mixing the dry ingredients all onto the table. It was so fun to laugh and make bake these treats with the kids. We even came up with a chocolate, rasin, sugar cookie. This was so good. I got Chris to taste it and he really, really liked it. After he came home from work I was still making cookies and he tried again to make the no bake cookies. The first batch came out a little runny. This time they turned out great.

This is the kids and my attempt to decorate the cookies. We left these out for Santa. They tasted goos though.

Holiday Candy

Chris and I took Morgyn to this candy store in downtown Jeffersonville Indiana. We watched them make red hot candy and then shopped around for some toffee, and other fabalous treats. Their eggnog, and hot chocolate toffee was so good. There peanut brittle was good. And their caramel covered marshmallows were okay. I am going back to get the eggnog toffee, and to see if I can find anything else.

December 4th, 2007, Jessica Sherwood had to do something no mother should ever have to do.At 2:29 pm Jessica made a very tough, but the right decision to take her little 3 month old daughter off life support. In memory of little London Marie, i thought id start a little forward..Jessica had a message that i want every one to know..This is what jessica said:IF NE ONE HAS KIDS MAKE SURE U KEEP THEM WIT U THE WHOLE TIME DNT GIVE THEM TO NE ONE THAT U DNT TRUST..... TRUST ME I THOUGHT I TRUSTED JOSH..... BUT NOW AS OF 12-4-07 AT 2:29AM SHE IS GONE.... MY ONE AND ONLY BABY....... AND HE IS GUNNA PAY FOR EVER EVEN IF HE GETS OUTTA JAIL SCOTT FREE HE WILL BE DEAD NO MATTER WAT......... TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND THAT KNO LONDON I AM VERY ANGRY AND UPSET I LOST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE MY BABY GIRL.... SHE DIED ON HER 3MONTH BDAY........SHE HAD 6 FRACTURED RIBS..... BOTH OF HER LEGS WERE FRACTURED.... AND HER BRAIN WAS SO DAMANAGED THAT IF SHE WERE TO LIVE SHE WOULD BE A VEGETABLE.... SO I DID WAT WAS RIGHT AND BEST FOR HER AND TOOK HER OFF LIFE SUPPORT...THATS WAT U CALL SHAKEN BABY SYNDROM REMEMBER THAT...For those of you who dont know what Shaken Baby Syndrome is..read thisShaking, jerking and jolting can cause blood vessels in the head to tear or burst.Shaken Baby Syndrome is the shaking of an infant or child by the arms, legs, or shoulders with or without impact of the head. This trauma can result in bleeding and brain injury with no outward signs of abuse.Often frustrated caregivers feel that shaking a baby or small child is a harmless way to make the child stop crying. However, a baby's brain and blood vessels are vulnerable to whiplash motions, such as shaking, jerking, jolting, and impact. The neck muscles of an infant or small child are weak, so the child's head is relatively heavy and the neck cannot support the stress of shaking or impact.Shaking a very young child, with or without impact of the head, can cause irreversible brain damage, blindness, cerebral palsy, hearing loss, spinal cord injury, seizures, learning disabilities, and even death. It is tragic that healthy, intelligent babies are suffering these disabilities simply because their caregivers don't know about the dangers associated with Shaken Baby Syndrome. An estimated 1,200 to 1,400 cases of Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) occur each year in the United States. Only 1 out of 4 babies dies of Shaken Baby Syndrome. HOWEVER, the other three babies will need ongoing medical attention for the rest of their short lifespans

After the Rain......

This is what happens after a really strong rain fall. Our backyard gets flooded. The good thing is that it does not last but a couple of days. And with a day like today it should clear up quickly.

Morgyn and Markers

So here it is again, Morgyn has found the permanent marker. At least it is not as bad as the last time. Then she colored her chest, legs, and arms. It took a few days but the markings finally went away. I give this one the rest of the week and then it will be cleared up. Let's hope she does not get use to this. We do not need her wanting tatoos in the future.

Playing Ball

I went outside after we got home and decided to take the ball away from Saber. I threw it around for awhile and then had to come back inside. The weather it so nice, I mean it is 73 degrees. I am not use to it being this nice out, especially in the middle of winter. I think that after I pick up the boys, and before the homework, I will get out the bikes and then start cleaning out the garage.
