My Blanket Projects...Finished and Not

So this is the colors of the second baby blanket, for the twins. I decided on these colors because I thought that maybe there was going to be a boy in the belly. I wanted to make something that would be good for both.
I like the way this blanket turned out. It is heavy so it is going to be good for those cold winter nights. I have some yarn left with these colors and plan on doing another one but in a differrent pattern.

I love these colors. They will really bring out Logan's personality, well that and his blue eyes.

This balnket is not in my top 5 to finish, but it will get done. I would have liked to finish it before his trip this summer, so that he would have something from home, something made by momma, to take with him.

I know he likes this and can not wait until it is done. You should see the smile on his face when he sees it.

I decided to use this yarn, well becasue I started make a blanket from it but never finished it. The colored yarn was hard to work with. It took years but it is finally finished. I ahve more of the colored yarn and would like to do something with it but am not sure yet.
I really did not like the white with it. It is too bright, but hey you have to work with what you have. This blanket is the first of the twin's and it is so soft.

See I told you that the white really stands out. This will all change though because of the many stains it will gather in the time to come. I just hope that all of these blankets, that I have created, will make it through the wash.
Okay, last but not least, we have this monster. About 75% of the way done and it is going to be one of the biggest I have made. I made one before that wold fit a full, almost a queen, size bed but gave it to someone special (at the time). I have plans for this to go on my couch. It is heavy and when I work on it I get hot and have to quit for a little bit to cool off.

My Little Helper

Here is Garfield and the finished baby blanket....#2.
He does not just like to play with the yarn, but he enjoys eatting it and stretching it across the room.
I have to be careful with him and stretching the yarn, but even more careful with his playtime snack becasue he bites the yarn in half.
I am just happy that I am finished with this one and now it is off to work on another blanket and let Garfield play with the new yarn.

More From the Porch Garden

Morgyn and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and bought the three plants for the house and finished the gernium shopping. There is a space opened up in this pot because of the peanut sprout. I am going to see if it is going to grow. If it does then good, because they are good snacks for the squirrels to dig up.
And here are the tomatos I have planted. We usually get a few good ones from these plants and I am hoping that they are not going to be sour. The ones last year were not sour just bitter. Chris planted some flower seeds and I think later today I am going to plant the lettuce, lavendar, and other tomatos. Later the corn and we are going to take the rocks we have along our porch railings and put them else where. Then we are going to get some rose bushes, about four of them and put them in the place where the rocks were. Chris was in the middle of pruning the back yard and now he is going to work. Kids are outside playing and hopefully we can make it to church tonight. Man it feels like I am going ten miles a minute. Busy, Busy, Busy.

22 Weeks Pregnant

So here I am 22 weeks pregnant with twin girls and styling in my latest maternity wear. I can not believe how time is going by. It seems slower then the other pregnancies but hey this one is not one to rush. The babies have been kicking alot lately and it feels weird sometimes, especially when they give me a good shot. Next week is another appointment and I can hardly wait until I hear their heartbeats again. At the end of the month is another ultrasound....cool.
I am tired alot and my legs get tight, especially my calves, if I stand too long. I have been out shopping, every now and then, and I feel faint, like I will pass out at any given moment. I find myself sitting on the floor more than once during my outting. I try to eat but can not finish my meals. I get really hungry at night and though my craving are not weird I still have them. BBQ,salads (caesar or with italian drsssing), pepperoini, water(but only with ice), sprite, cheese (string Mozzerella), cheetos, just the normal garden variety stuff. Now I am hungry again so I am off to grab a snack and stretch my legs. Wish me luck and be sure to send plenty of prayers.

This Years Porch Garden

So here is the start of my porch garden. We have done this for the past three years and have had small, but nice results.
Starwberries.....
Morgyn helped pick out these gerniums, she really wanted a variety of colors.

Morgyn and her pink...... See what I mean. I really need to find a purple one and then a yellow one.

This is for Chris, since the Chicago Bears are blue and orange.

These are just really pretty flowers and I love planting them. They are simple to take care of and even when the flowers are gone the grenn foliage still spouts out in abundance.
I am planning on planting some corn by the fence and tomatoes by the front window. We also have lavendar and oh I forgot what else. I want to get some green peppers. This year was suppose to be when I was going to make a garden, but I have to use planters again becasue of the pregnancy it will just be easier to take care of. Maybe next year I can finally break ground. This summer we are going to also put up a clothes line. Our air conditioner is broke so I want to be able to keep the house as cool as possible.
